Pay: $10 / hour

The Cheezburger Network is looking for a video editor to process and edit videos to be launched throughout our growing network of websites and video channels.

Our videos are seen over 100 million times each month (making us one of the largest video publishers on the Web) and are some of the most viral on the Web. We operate 32 sites including the FAIL Blog and I Can Has Cheezburger?.

You must be well-versed in:
- Final Cut Pro
- Video screen capture software (ex. Snapz Pro)
- After Effects, Motion, or other video motion graphics / titling software
- Logic Pro, Garage Band, or other soundtrack / sound design software
- Video compression for editing and for the web
- Viral content editing
- Video licensing and rights
- Google Docs spreadsheets (similar to Excel)

This Position Will Require:
- Selecting the best quality user submitted videos to be edited and uploaded to our network of websites and video channels
- Capturing user submitted videos for editing using video screen capture software
- Editing videos
- Adding watermarks, title cards, bumpers, and commentary to videos
- Compressing videos into proper codecs for use on the web
- Uploading videos to numerous video sites
- Creating video bumpers using motion graphics software to help cross promote other Cheezburger Network sites

Additional Skills Needed:
- High attention to detail (grammar, spelling, rules, elements in videos, etc.)
- Understanding of HTML (basic)
- High degree of web savvy with an emphasis on memes and viral content
- Ability to multitask on multiple repeating tasks
- The ability to understand our users' preferences separate from your own
- AND A SENSE OF HUMOR. :)
