This position will require:
- Scouring the Internet for new and old memes and meme-like content
- Tracking down and contacting original content owners
- Answering customer emails
- Screening of incoming submissions (weed out X-rated or unsavory content)
- Moderation of comments (spam, trolls, etc.)

Skills needed:
- High attention to detail (grammar, spelling, rules, items in photos, etc.)
- Understanding of HTML (basic)
- High degree of web savvy with an emphasis on memes

This position will report directly to the CTO, and the requirements for this position are based on the work that you will be doing:

You will be developing feature functionality for the Cheezburger Platform--an ASP.NET MVC application written in C#. Since it's a web application, you will also write HTML, CSS, AJAX and Javascript.
You will work on a team that implements the most modern and progressive web and software development practices. We are an Agile/Scrum shop that embraces iterative development, test automation and continuous deployment.
You will be working on a small team, so you will be responsible for monitoring and administering our systems and servers.
As a senior developer, you will provide technical direction and leadership for the team. You will be expected to mentor less experienced developers, and will have a major voice in the shape and direction of our development practices.
You will influence the direction of the product because we are a company that embraces Lean Startup principles of iterative development based on a build-measure-learn model achieving product-market fit.

Bottom line, this position requires:

7+ years developing consumer facing web sites
5+ years working with ASP.NET/C#, HTML, CSS and Javascript
Experience with ASP.NET MVC
Experience with Agile development practices
Experience leading web or software development projects
A degree in computer science or related field

Video Editor

The Cheezburger Network is looking for a video editor to process and edit videos to be launched throughout our growing network of websites and video channels.

Our videos are seen over 100 million times each month (making us one of the largest video publishers on the Web) and are some of the most viral on the Web. We operate 32 sites including the FAIL Blog and I Can Has Cheezburger?.

You must be well-versed in:
- Final Cut Pro
- Video screen capture software (ex. Snapz Pro)
- After Effects, Motion, or other video motion graphics / titling software
- Logic Pro, Garage Band, or other soundtrack / sound design software
- Video compression for editing and for the web
- Viral content editing
- Video licensing and rights
- Google Docs spreadsheets (similar to Excel)

This Position Will Require:
- Selecting the best quality user submitted videos to be edited and uploaded to our network of websites and video channels
- Capturing user submitted videos for editing using video screen capture software
- Editing videos
- Adding watermarks, title cards, bumpers, and commentary to videos
- Compressing videos into proper codecs for use on the web
- Uploading videos to numerous video sites
- Creating video bumpers using motion graphics software to help cross promote other Cheezburger Network sites

Sr Account Executive - Online Ad Sales

We are looking for a smart and experienced online advertising sales manager to continue the company's expansion within the CPM-based display business. The successful candidate must be aggressive, creative, and resourceful and must enjoy working in a highly entrepreneurial environment. The position requires outstanding sales, communication, and management skills as well as a gift for developing and maintaining relationships. S/He must be accomplished at selling display advertising and bundling graphical advertising with sponsorship opportunities. S/he will be responsible for hitting monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.

The successful candidate will be working remotely in the greater Chicago area and must be very familiar with all top agencies in Chicago and clients within surrounding territory. This position reports to the Director of Advertising based in the Northeast.

Hiring requirements
• 5+ years experience selling online advertising with responsibility for an annual quota of at least $5 million
• 10+ years of media sales experience
